# Claims Ignite: hospital pre-authorisation in minutes

Claims Ignite is cashless pre-authorisation software for hospitals in India, made by Zyanta Digital Solutions LLP. Canonical page: https://www.zyanta.com/healthcare/claims-ignite/

## What it is

A patient told "you need to be admitted" scans the doctor's QR code and gets a reference number at once. They photograph their policy, Aadhaar and PAN. The doctor and the insurance desk complete one shared record, the pre-auth form is generated from it, and the patient follows the insurer's clock on their own phone.

## The problem it addresses

| Figure | Meaning | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 1 hour | Time the insurer has to decide a pre-authorisation | IRDAI Master Circular, May 2024 |
| 96.7% | Insurers' reported compliance | Stated in Parliament, December 2025 |
| 6 in 10 | Patients who waited 6 to 48 hours | LocalCircles survey, January 2025 |
| 179 | Fields on one TPA's pre-auth form | Zyanta's field-by-field teardown |

The insurer's hour starts only when the file is complete. Everything before that happens on the hospital's side: the walk to the desk, the search for documents, the doctor's form, the typing, the queries. Claims Ignite is designed to shorten that part from days to minutes. This is a design target; it has not yet been measured on a live hospital unit.

## Five promises to the patient

1. A reference number at the first tap, in the doctor's room.
2. Photos instead of photocopies: policy, Aadhaar, PAN.
3. Never asked for the same fact twice.
4. Status on their own phone, around the clock, with the insurer's clock.
5. What it may cost them, before the bed is chosen.

## The flow

1. Doctor's room: scan the doctor's QR. The patient gets a reference and appears in the doctor's queue.
2. Patient's phone: three photos. Policy, Aadhaar and PAN are read, cross-checked and prefilled.
3. Doctor: advice in their own words, typed or photographed. The procedure master names the procedure and the evidence the insurer expects.
4. Insurance desk: the file is already on the board. Room advisor and sum-insured checks run as they type.
5. Doctor: accept and sign once. Sign-off generates the pre-auth form.
6. Insurance desk: the payer's validators pass, then submit. The IRDAI hour starts, counted live.
7. Payer: query or decision. A query pauses the clock; the reply is drafted from the record and attested by the doctor.
8. Patient's phone: stage, clock, approved amount and what they may pay, in English or Telugu.

## Deployment

- Runs in the hospital's own cloud account in an India region, from the hospital's repository, under its keys and brand.
- The hospital is the data fiduciary under the DPDP Act. Zyanta is a processor with no standing access to production.
- The AI model is reached through Microsoft Foundry on Azure, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Anthropic's Claude API.
- After submit, Option A: Claims Ignite files with the TPA portal, NHCX or the insurer's API and tracks the claim. Option B: it hands the complete file to an existing claims platform such as ClaimBook or IHX.
- Hospital system integration through HL7 v2 ADT, FHIR R4, read-only database views or scheduled files. Not required for a pilot.

## Status

- Running today: the full flow in demonstration, against a simulated payer.
- Designed, built during set-up: deployment in the hospital's cloud with SSO, HIS connectors, live TPA portal and NHCX filing, hand-off to existing claims platforms.
- In build: deployments for large hospital groups. Not yet live in production.
- Not yet measured: patient rating, trips to the counter, minutes from advice to a complete file, queries per file.

2. Half a day at one insurance desk to agree the baseline.
3. Agree pilot scope and success measures.
4. Ninety days, measured against the baseline.
